The new Peugeot 3008 has won the Grand Prix award for best interior of 2016 at the 32nd International Automobile Festival.

The Grand Prix award for best interior of the year is the seventeenth award won by the new Peugeot 3008. Since its launch in mid-October 2016, more than 60,000 customers world-wide have already admired its interior design.

The passenger compartment of the the new 3008 SUV is unique, featuring the latest generation Peugeot i-Cockpit. It comes with a compact steering wheel and a 12 inch “heads-up” digital display as standard. Beneath a large touch screen, intuitive piano-key toggle switches give easy access to the main control functions. The new i-Cockpit is the hallmark of the brand’s more recent creations. With its advanced technology, it sets new standards in cockpit design.

Having premiered at the Paris Motor Show last year, the highly anticipated is bound to make its domestic appearance in the third quarter of the year. the new-generation 3008 takes on a more robust character and dynamic stance, with a refined exterior and a wave of current technologies and driver’s assistance systems.

In looks, the front end is vertical with a powerful motif to give a feeling of strength. The wide chrome-trimmed grille sets the tone. In its center the Lion, correctly in proportion, neither too shy nor ostentatious, takes pride of place. A piercing feline look comes from the narrow headlights. It becomes sharper still when they are take on the (optional) full LED lights. There are numerous wide open air intakes. Along with the flat bonnet and waist line, the C-SUV from Peugeot looks distinctively slimmer.

The elegant lines continue at the rear, where again we find a clear and very modern design. Beneath the inclined rear window, a gloss black band incorporates the opalescent LED tail lights. These feature the three essential claw-marks that make the Peugeot visual signature so clearly identifiable, at night as in daytime.

Whatever angle it is approached from, whoever sees the new Peugeot 3008 SUV for the first time is struck by the feeling of top-quality execution and of a high level of perceived quality.
