The New Peugeot 3008 has been officially unveiled by Nasim, today. To commemorate the occasion, privileged members of the media have been invited to attend a special test drive for first impressions of the 2017 Car of the Year.

First introduced in Europe last year, the new Peugeot 3008 SUV has been heralded as the milestone in its market segment. Built on the principles of design, advanced technology and function, the new 3008 SUV is adorned with a powerful and refined style that provides convenient versatility that is unrivalled in its segment.

 

 

 

 

 

In dimensions, the new 3008 measures 4,447 mm long and 1,841mm wide. Exterior highlights include Advanced Full LED Technology with sequential Scrolling Indicator and a new signature 3D rear claw taillight. At the front, the redesigned fascia is empowered by a stylish new chequered wide grille with chrome plated trims and fog lights in chrome emerging from the bodywork. Elsewhere, the headlights with DRLs give a forward trust impression, while the rearlights are envisioned in a three-claw design schematic. The new 3008 SUV’s package is completed by 18-inch Los Angeles Shiny Haria Grey alloy wheels.

The passenger compartment interior proves to be a new source of surprise and attraction. The passenger compartment of the new Peugeot 3008 SUV is unique with the hyped-up Peugeot i-Cockpit, featuring a radical dashboard, dashboard fabric, and modern trimming on door panels.

 

 

 

 

 

The i-Cockpit suite is highlighted by the compact steering with switches and a 12.3-inch digital Head-Up Display (HUD) screen. The screen displays the speedometer, odometer, trip-computer and relevant driver’s information. For connectivity and multimedia, a six-speaker with 3D Arkamys sound staging system is added, while compatibility to Android Auto and Carplay devices is standard.

Occupants’ comfort is ensured with the 3008’s dual-zone air-conditioning and premium luxury leather seats. The driver’s seat has lumber and height adjustment with an 8-way memory setting. As with most Peugeot models, auto electric parking brake comes standard. At the rear, a spacious 590-liter boot space is further enlarged up to 1,670 liters, thanks to the split folding rear seats with ‘Magic Flat’ functionality.

Powering the new 3008 SUV is the dependable 1.6 THP with Variable Valve Timing, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 167ps and 240 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful SUVs in its segment. The driver is able to utilize the tiptronic switches on the steering for faster gear changes or activate Sport mode for a more exhilarating drive. The 3008 SUV has an estimated fuel efficiency of 7.0 liters per 100 km and a top speed of 211 km/h.

To hold car on the road, the 3008 takes up independent front MacPherson struts coil springs and integrated with pressurised hydraulic shock absorbers. The rear suspension is outfitted with semi-independent wheels with twist beam axle and pressurised shock absorbers.

A host of safety features are incorporated for the new 3008 SUV, including the Peugeot Park Assist with front and rear parking assist sensors, 180° reverse camera, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Safety Program (ESP), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Anti-Skid Regulation (ASR), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Advanced Grip Control and Hill Assist Descent Control (HADC) and six airbags. The car is a 5-star recipient of the Euro NCAP.

The new Peugeot 3008 SUV in Active and Allure trims, with a starting price of RM142,888 and RM 155,888, is offered in five exciting colors: Metallic Copper, Magnetic Blue, Amazonite Grey, Ultimate Red and Pearl White, Like all Peugeot models, it comes with five-year manufacturer’s warranty, together with Nasim’s existing 24-hours Peugeot Assistance service and complimentary access to the Sky Park Subang.

 

 

 

 

 

The new Peugeot 3008 is expected to generate 1,800 units in Nasim’s total sales, which translate to 22 percent. The SUV is targeted at discerning customers between the ages of 30 to 45, especially those who are expecting differentiation in a vehicle with a contemporary design, premium features and uncompromising safety standards.
