Alongside the 2016 Porsche 911 line-up, Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance) introduced the Macan GTS. The Macan GTS combines a high level of typical Porsche driving dynamics with outstanding everyday utility.
The Macan GTS can be recognized at first glance by exterior accents in black (high gloss) above the waistline and in a lustrous matt finish in the lower areas of the body, and by a special version of the Sport Design package, also in GTS-specific coloring, that comes as a standard feature. The LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus is available as an option for the Macan GTS guaranteeing optimum illumination of the road under all conditions.
With a re-engineered chassis and reinforced brakes, the Macan GTS gets 20 hp more than the Macan S. A sportier tuning of the PASM chassis that is lowered by 15 millimeters, along with 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design with matt black paint finish and mixed tyres are features of the GTS equipment. Also in keeping with the style are the standard GTS sport seats with Alcantara centre panels, additional Alcantara trim in the interior as well as a full-sounding sports exhaust system. The Macan GTS features the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM). Together with the optional Connect Plus module, the high-quality multi-touch monitor offers online navigation with real-time traffic information and smartphone integration via CarPlay. A BOSE sound system completes the Macan GTS’ top-notch offerings.
In terms of power and torque, its three-liter V6 bi-turbo engine produces 360 hp and 500 Nm placing the Macan GTS between the Macan S and the Macan Turbo while the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) provides flexible power distribution between front and rear axles. The century sprint is completed in 5.2 seconds, and in just 5.0 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package. An electronically-limited top speed rating for the Macan GTS stands at 256 km/h. Fuel consumption ratings accorded for the Macan GTS are 11.8-11.4 l/100 km (urban), 7.8-7.4 l/100 km (extra urban) and 9.2-8.8 l/100 km (combined). Meanwhile, CO2 emissions are set between 215-207 g/km.
Thanks to its special qualities, the new Macan GTS offers even more driving fun while amplifying the spirit of Porsche. With this model, Porsche is once more underlining its claim that the Macan is the thoroughbred sports car among compact SUVs.
Porsche Malaysia offers the Macan GTS at a retail price of RM 710,000, not including insurance and additional charges. A 4-year warranty is applicable.
