Porsche Mission E Most Beautiful Concept car of the year Porsche Mission E has been recognized as the Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year at the 2016 Festival Automobile International. The Mission E joins the Mazda RX-Vision Concept as two of the most attractive Concepts of the year.

Porsche has proven pure creativeness, design and emerge of news trends with its Mission E concept. Therefore it was awarded ‘The Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year’ prize by a panel of judges, consisting of leading figures from the worlds of automobile, media, architecture and fashion. Porsche’s electric sports concept, with four independent seats on the inside, can cover over 600 hp (440 kW) in output and achieve up to 500 km or more in terms of driving range. It also comes with an all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, capable of a 0 – 100 km/h sprint in under 3.5 seconds.

As an all-electric, the Mission E is expected to have a charging time of approximately 15 minutes to reach an 80% charge. Access to the charging port ‘Porsche Turbo Charging’ is located at the left wing in front of the driver’s door. The li-on battery is mounted in the concept’s underbody and runs the whole length between the front and rear axles. It takes only 15 mins to charge the car to 80 percent electrical energy. In addition, instruments are intuitively operated by eye-tracking and gesture control, some even via holograms; highly oriented toward the driver by automatically adjusting the displays to the driver’s position.

In a related news, Porsche works driver Mark Webber has been recognized for his efforts in last season’s WEC (World Endurance Championship) exploits at the Festivel Automobile International. Porsche won the 24-hour Le Mans and the WEC championship in its second year of participation, thanks to the Australian and the reliable Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 racer. Webber won the WEC title, following the switch from Formula 1 to endurance racing. His name is now added to motorsport’s roll of honor, alongside other legends such as Alain Prost and Jacky Ickx.
