|For upcoming the Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche is presenting two of its latest GTS variants to the American public. The recent introduced 911 Carrera GTS and Cayenne GTS are scheduled to attract LA Auto show visitors at the Petree Hall of the Convention Center, from 19 November.|
Aside from the two GTS variants, Porsche is exhibiting the Panamera Exclusive Series, including one of 100 units of the limited special edition of the Panamera Turbo S Executive.
The four variants of the 911 Carrera GTS close the gap between the 911 Carrera S and the 911 GT3. The variant available as Coupé or convertible is equipped with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and devel-ops 430 hp. Additionally, the Sport Chrono package and other sporty optional features are fitted as standard equipment.
We featured the Cayenne GTS, which is slated for an LA Auto show premiere, quite recently. The Cayenne GTS develops 440 hp and has an even sportier tuned PASM chassis with a ride height lowered by 24 millimeters.
As standard, the Cayenne GTS has the turbo nose section with large air intakes and the Sport Design package, including more contoured side sills and wheel arch extensions. The latter, like the roof spoiler and lower rear of the vehicle, are painted in the car body color. The color black provides some striking contrasts: all lettering is black, as are the 20-inch wheels in the RS Spyder design, the exhaust tailpipes, the bi-xenon headlights’ inner apertures and the fittings of the darkened LED rear lights. There’s also a new feature on the front doors: striking GTS lettering.
The Cayenne GTS’s V8 NA engine has been upped 20 hp to 440 hp, compared to the previous edition. While, torque has been increased by 85 Nm to 600 Nm. Fuel consumption, however, is down by 0.9 l/100 km. The Sporty Porsche SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, or just 5.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package. That’s 0.5 and 0.6 seconds respectively less than the previous edition. Top speed is 262 km/h. As standard, the SUV has a sports exhaust system, which provides the familiarly meaty GTS sound.
The Cayenne GTS has a starting price tag of 98.152 Euros, with sales beginning February 2015 in Europe.
