Price Announcement for the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUV Plus

Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUV have been making head waves on Malaysian roads since arrival in 2017 and 2018. This year, Peugeot Malaysia (Nasim) has brought forth the refreshed Peugeot 3008 SUV Plus and 5008 SUV Plus to further appease the growing SUV market.

Both 2019 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUV Plus have a distinctive front face with the familiar floating grille and LED Sequential Scrolling indicator. New for 2019 is the new roof rail design and chrome side mirrors that enhance the SUVs’ athletic and elegant look. To top it all off, there’s a full length sunroof to bring up the appeal of both SUVs.

The biggest change interior-wise is an update for the i-Cockpit. Now you get Navigation function that is embedded within the 8-inch multifunction color touchscreen without the need to rely on phone data through Carplay, Android Auto or MirrorLink. The 12.3-inch instrument cluster now becomes a lot more customizable than before with the addition of a new ‘Onyx’ graphical style, a new ‘Driving Assistance’ display mode and new tailor-made ‘Personal” mode. The new Peugeot 5008 SUV Plus will get an additional ‘Navigation’ mode to reflect map maneuvers within the driver’s sight.

There is also an update on the ambiance mode that will evoke emotional satisfaction: ‘BOOST’ for a dynamic experience, or ‘RELAX’ to envelope the occupants in a serene ambiance. There is also a new Drive Sport Pack that will heighten sight, touch and hearing senses for a sporty driving feel. This is enabled by stiffening of the assisted steering, more responsive accelerator, greater engine and gearbox agility and digitally amplified engine sound.

A smart tailgate system also made it’s way onto the 3008 SUV Plus, which previously only available for the 5008. Furthermore, this smart system allows the opening and closing of the tailgate with a swift foot motion under the bumper.

On the safety front, the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUV Plus do come with a whole host of safety system with these upgrades: Blind Spot Information System and Active Lane Departure Warning. The new driver assist system utilizes a windscreen camera to detect road markings and automatically adjusts the vehicle’s direction slightly while alerting the driver.

The Peugeot 3008 SUV Plus is being split into two variants. The base 3008 Active priced at RM150,888 and the 3008 Allure priced at RM163,888.

The 2019 Peugeot 5008 SUV Plus is also offered in two variants, Active and Allure, priced at RM166,888 and RM179,888, respectively.

The above mentioned prices are on-the-road prices without insurance. However, you do get an attractive instalment plan that will start from RM1,300 per month, 3 years free service package, 5 years warranty coverage, 3 years roadside assistance, and 1 year complimentary skylounge access.

Both models and variants comes in Nera Black, Pearl White, Amazonite Grey and a new Aster Grey colour, with the new 3008 SUV Plus receiving an exclusive Metallic Copper colour and the new 5008 SUV Plus getting the distinctive Emerald Crystal finish.
