|Proton has announced the lower-priced Suprima S in Standard edition, which went on sale on 6 December. The Suprima S represents an important variant for the National car makers to climb up the TIV (Total Industry Volume) ranks.|
The standard Proton Suprima S becomes the base version that’s powered by a 1.6-liter Turbo engine and paired to a 7-speed ProTronic CVT transmission. Proton keeps stressing that their 1.6-liter soft-turbo engine could match a NA 2.0-liter, perhaps there’s some basis to it.
