Proton reports sales hike

National carmakers Proton has reported a sales hike of 13% for the previous month of October. The percentage makes up 5,083 units sold, compared to 4,498 units in September .

Sales performance saw a rebound for January till October when the brand registered a 6% increase, with 61,380 units sold compared to 57,734 units in the same duration last year.

Proton Saga and Persona, the leading models






The Saga and Persona continue to dominate the trend, both contributing 70% to the overall Proton car sales, with 26,343 units of Saga and 16,833 units of Persona sold.

The Persona, which received an award as Best Compact Car saw a 57.5% increase year-to-date with 16,833 units sold compared to 10,687 units in the same duration last year.
