Range Rover Velar is coming soon

If you haven’t already heard of the Range Rover Velar, worry not as Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has confirmed the arrival of the New Range Rover Velar, which is scheduled for its due premiere in the country, followed by sales sometime this month.

According to Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia, the Velar offers exceptional power and performance with its Ingenium P250 engine. Matched to a smooth-shifting ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics, drivers will be thrilled with the Velar’s performance, refinement and its all-terrain capability that has never been seen in a mid-sized SUV.

The Velar is set to impress customers with its pioneering consumer technologies, luxurious interior that is incomparable to its competitors, and its head-turning design.

Blending contemporary design and advanced technology, the Velar features sleek innovative design in its engineering and architecture. The headlights are the most slender full-LED headlights ever on a Land Rover vehicle. The flush deployable door handles are not only techy but trendy at the same time, while the Touch Pro Duo system that features two high-definition 10-inch touchscreens forms the centrepiece of the beautifully minimalist cabin, blending a futuristic, elegant feel with an intuitive and engaging interface. Complementing the Velar’s stunning body design are four stylish 21-inch rim designs to choose from.

To enhance the driving experience and offer greater convenience to the driver, the Velar is equipped with the following: Head Up Display with Navigation Pro System, Virtual Instrument TFT Display, Surround Camera, Powered Gesture Tailgate and Intelligent High Beam Assist.

The Velar’s body is built with aluminium-intensive monocoque using Jaguar Land Rover’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture. Aluminium alloys account for more than 81 per cent of the body-in-white, a figure no competitor can match. Its light yet stiff aluminium-intensive body, coupled with double-wishbone front and Integral Link rear suspension provides the perfect basis for agile handling, superior ride comfort and outstanding refinement. It also delivers exceptional levels of crash protection.

On the same note, Jaguar Land Rover is one of the world’s leader in Automotive Aluminium Body Construction. Jaguar Land Rover is one of the first carmakers in the world to use aluminium extensively in its model range. The company introduced aluminium body structures initially to its Jaguar line, achieving weight reduction of about 40 per cent using stamped panels, castings and aluminium extrusions. Benefits include weight savings, improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, increased crash safety and improved vehicle dynamics. The use of aluminium continues to grow – from thenew Range Rover and Range Rover Sport to the exciting new Jaguar F-Pace, as well as the F-Type, XE, XF and XJ. The body structure of the XJ, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover is 100% aluminium, the Discovery (80% aluminium), while the XE and XF is 75% aluminium.

Range Rover Velar: Get up close and personal

The Velar is one of the safest vehicles due to its comprehensive safety system that boasts six airbags, and a suite of technology advanced driver assistance systems.
