|At the ongoing IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, Renault has unveiled the new Dacia Duster with 4X4 design cues.|
The new Renault Dacia Duster’s front end has been upgraded, with a redesigned grille, adorned by two chrome-plated strips and housing a new, lower-set air intake and new double-optic headlights with daytime running lights. Additionally, the Duster-labeled roof bars with slatted supports underline the car’s SUV character, while new 16-inch “Dark Metal” alloy wheels and tyres revitalize the profile of Renault’s latest SUV with 4X4 cues.
At the back, new lights echo the styling cues of the front end, notably though the use of chrome. A chrome-plated tailpipe and new “4WD” lettering round out the exterior styling changes and further boost the car’s personality.
Interior-wise, the Renault Dacia Duster takes on an entirely redesigned dashboard that features a center-mounted console flanked by two vertical structural components. Moving further upmarket, the latest Dacia Duster comes with four new upholstery choices, including leather.
Comfort has been enhanced through new-design seats and a reinforced rear bench seat back. The darker cabin colors emphasize a stronger character and sound 4×4 credentials.
Conveniences and amenities include the Dacia Media NAV multimedia system (with Bluetooth) or the Dacia Plug & Play (without Bluetooth); a cruise control/speed limiter; rear parking sensors (on some versions); motion auto-lock; an exterior temperature display; and a larger boot space that holds up to 475 liters.
There are few engine versions for the 4X2. 4X4 Duster; the TCe 125 1.2-liter direct injection turbo, 1.5 dCi and 1.6-liter petrol-CNG. And thanks to Gear Shift Indicator, the Dacia driver knows when’s the best time to shift up or down; contributing to the SUV’s fuel consumption reduced ratings.
Safety equipment are aplenty in the new Dacia, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) with ABS. ISOFIX, and front driver, passenger, side head and chest airbags.
The new Renault Dacia Duster introduced at the Frankfurt motor show starts retailing in Deutschland first at €10,490. The Dacia SUV 4X4 is offered in a new body color, Comète Grey.
