|TC Eurocars today introduced a variant that took 3 years to come about, the Renault Fluence. Previously, TC Eurocars had brought in the Fluence Z.E. for a trial run and thereafter, decidedly converted it to a petrol engined Fluence for a more effective acceptance rate in the domestic automotive landscape.|
Pushing the C-segment boundary with the 2014 Renault Fluence
The Renault Fluence isn’t as dynamic looking as the Megane or Clio and even the Koleos; the variants available on the TC EUrocars’ current line-up. The exterior of the Fluence freely interprets a fluid flow design melding purity and poise, dynamics and smoothness. A balanced combination of ride comfort and stability depict the Fluence’s exceptional built quality. TC Eurocars had stressed that the Fluence’s chassis guarantees driving comfort due to the able suspension setup that ensures more predictable handling, while blocking out road noise, harshness and vibration.
Being a continental make, the Fluence gets a typical black-schemed cabin along with silver matte trims on the dasboard’s air-conditioning vents, gearknob, the surroundings of the audio and temperature control areas, and the double rings of the meters. The cabin is deemed one of the largest in its segment and has been enhanced by the use of full leather upholstery for segment topping comfort. The front seats offer exemplary support while the rear is inclined at an angle of 27 degrees for occupants’ comfort. The R-Link, with the retractable 7-inch screen, enables easy access to on-board information, navigation, reverse camera and connectivity to compatible devices. Pertinent amenities included are hands-free card with remote central locking, engine start and stop button, steering switches, cruise control, dual-zone a/c, rear a/c vents, and a boot space that fills up to 530 liters.
The Renault Fluence takes up a 2.0 16V 140 petrol engine that’s mated to the X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission. Safety features-wise, the Fluence is loaded appropriate features such as; 6 airbags, ABS with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), Brake assist, ESP with ASR (anti-skid regulation) and understeering control function.
Today, the Fluence effectively becomes an important new addition to TC Eurocars line-up of vehicles. To mark this milestone, TC Eurocars and its principal Renault Asia Pacific signed a memorandum of agreement to build the Fluence and another variant at Tan Chong’s Segambut plant. TC Eurocars targets to sell 1,000 units of the Fluence to embark on its quest to gain 1.5% of the C-segment market share. In after-sales, TC Eurocars aims to expand to 25 dealerships by 2016.
