Renault Iconic Special Editions introduced for compact line-ups

Renault Clio Iconic Renault has announced high-spec special editions for its current compact variants: Twingo, Clio and Captur. These ‘Iconic’ special editions come with refreshed interior and exterior elements  and a host of upgrades.

The Renault Iconic Special Editions are available across different engine options, including the just-announced Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission for the Twingo TCe90.

Renault Twingo Iconic

Twingo Iconic is based on the Dynamique version of Renault’s innovative city car and includes cruise control, speed limiter, DAB radio, Bluetooth, R&GO smartphone-based navigation, electric front windows and electric heated mirrors and front fog lights. Ultraviolet Iconic side decals and 16-inch Ultraviolet Emblem alloy wheels complement the range of four colors available, including two new and unique metallic paints: Ultraviolet and Lunar Grey. Black alloy wheels are available as a no cost option. Extra tinted rear windows and gloss black door mirrors complete the exterior enhancements.

On the interior, there is black part-leather upholstery with white and ultraviolet piping, ‘Renault’ door sill plates, Ultraviolet Twingo floor mats and a matt ultraviolet touch pack (no additional cost). Furthermore, the Iconic Twingo receives climate control for comfort and convenience, as well as automatic lights and wipers.

Twingo Iconic Special Edition is available to order with Twingo’s two engine choices: the SCe 70 and the turbocharged TCe90. The turbocharged TCe90 is paired to either a manual or new EDC dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Twingo’s engine range offers CO2 emissions as low as 95g/km and returns up to 4.1 l/100km (67.3mpg) on a combined cycle (NEDC).

Renault Clio Iconic 25 Nav

Celebrating its quarter century in 2016, the Clio Iconic 25 Nav supermini is available with TCe90 Stop & Start, dCi90 Stop & Start and dCi90 EDC engines. Based on the top-of-the-range Dynamique S specification, the special edition receives 17-inch ‘Desire’ alloy wheels with black inserts, chrome window sills, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate, and distinctive cross-hatch-style wing mirror decals as standard.

The decals complement the range of four stylish exterior colors on offer: Ivory, Diamond Black, Oyster Grey and Mercury. To add to the uniqueness of this special edition, customers can choose to complement the exterior color with the optional black and white cross-hatch-style roof decal, to match those on the wing mirrors.

To the inside, the cabin is made up of GT part leather upholstery with front heated seats, a leather armrest with leather handbrake and an aluminium gear lever. Moreover, the unique black and white cross-hatch design, seen on the exterior, has been adopted on the inside, to match the air vent surrounds and door armrests.

The Iconic 25 Nav builds on the top-of-the-range Dynamique S Nav trim which features automatic climate control with one touch quick demist function, rear electric windows and electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors. The Clio’s engine range offers emissions as low as 82g/km CO2 and returns up to 3.2l/100km (88.3mpg) on combined NEDC cycle.

Renault Captur Iconic Nav

The Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition is available for the same price as the Captur Signature Nav, starting from 18,395 pounds. Like the Signature Nav, the Captur Iconic Nav sits on the trim level above the Dynamique S Nav. The variant receives two-tone exterior color as standard, with a six-color palette for customers to choose. There’s also Black, Ivory or Cappuccino roof and 17-inch ‘Explore’ wheels with Cappuccino inserts as standard equipment for the Iconic Captur.

The interior of the Captur Iconic Nav receives Cappuccino part-leather upholstery with front heated seats as well as a bronze-tinted chrome interior pack on touch points around the cabin. The Captur Iconic Nav also offers a number of driver aids and sophisticated options as standard such as Renault’s Techno Pack which includes R-Link Evolution, rear parking camera, navigation and an electrochrome rear-view mirror.

The Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition is based on the Dynamique S Nav specification, receiving rear parking sensors, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors and extra tinted rear windows.

Four engine variations are valid for the Captur Iconic, with emissions at as low as 95g/km and fuel economy ranging from 3.6l/100km (78.5mpg) on combined NEDC cycle.
