|Shell Malaysia was in a giving mood last week with the Shell FuelSave Challenge as well as the Shell Helix “Can You Handle the Extreme?” Contest winners announcement.|
For the Shell FuelSave challenge, Amirul Fadzil Abdul Malek was declared the winner from the Central region after clocking 20.80 kilometers on a liter of Shell FuelSave 95 along a stipulated route of 92 km in a Honda Civic. Amirul beat nine other contestants and walked away with a cool RM2,000 cash prize, as well as a chance to partake in the October’s Grand Finale for a shot at RM20,000.
“Participating in the Shell FuelSave Challenge has definitely been an exciting and educational experience. The Shell Fuel Save Tips and FuelSave95 clearly helped better fuel efficiency and led me to become the Regional winner,” Amirul echoed.
Shell FuelSave Challenge continues to the South
The Shell FuelSave Challenge is aimed to demonstrate to motorists just how much further they could go on a full tank of FuelSave 95 coupled with the use of the FuelSave tips. With one more regional winner to be declared, the Shell FuelSave Southern region challenge is still open for participants between ages 24 to 60 years, with a minimum of 2 years driving experience. Shell Helix “Can You Handle the Extreme?” contest
Shell Malaysia’s Lubricants division also rewarded five lucky individuals each a 5-day/4-night all-expense paid trip to South Africa and chance to drive an off-road vehicle there. The Shell Helix “Can You Handle the Extreme?” contest which ran from 1 March to 31 May required purchase of a 4-liter Shell Helix Ultra or Helix HX7 for contest eligibility.
Five individuals were picked as the Can You Handle the Extreme? contest winners: Chew Yeah Fah, Ching Chi Yee, Ho Chee Kin, Ho Yung Shih and Sarfarizal Md Saad. The five overcame four other finalists in a specially arranged off-road competition which saw the participants in their Nissan Navaras do V-gully, 45-degree leaning slopes, water and mud track, and hill climb and descent.
The five will compete in the 2-day Shell Helix Extreme Driving at Cape Town during their South African tenure from 27 November till 1 December. At the Extreme Drive, they will undergo greater off-road challenges in the shadow of Cape Town’s famous Table Mountain, including a navigation challenge.
