Shell Shop to Win contest Grand finals Shell recently rewarded 12 motorists up to RM50,000 cash prizes at the Grand Finale of the recently concluded “Shop to Win” Contest.

The Shell Shop to Win contest which ran from 8 March till 30 April saw the twelve finalists compete for loads of cash prizes courtesy of Shell and its partners; BonusLink, F&N, Kraft Foods, Nestle, Coca-Cola, GSK, Permanis, Mamee Double Decker and Kellogg’s.

To be eligible for the Shell Shop to Win contest, customers had to spend a minimum of RM2.20 on selected promotional partners’ items at a participating Shell Select station nationwide during the campaign period.

At the Shell Shop to Win Grand finals which was conducted at the Batu Tiga Shell Select station, the twelve finalists who had each received RM1,000 cash prizes for the duration of the contest were the chosen semi-finalists to compete in the Grand finals’ elimination round – the quiz challenge. The first 10 contestants with five correct answers then advanced to the Grand Finale where they were challenged to shop for specific products at the Shell Select store within three minutes. Finalists with all correct items win RM50,000 each.

“It was quite an adrenaline rush. My heart was beating very fast as I raced through the aisles looking high and low for the items and trying very hard not to forget any of the items. It was the most exciting three minutes of my life,” said Mohd Azami, one of the finalists who competed for the grand prize of RM50,000.

The Shell Shop to Win campaign is a platform to reward loyal customers, as well as an effort by Shell to show its gratitude to the customers for their continuous support. “This contest symbolizes how we try to constantly look for ways and means to make life simpler, faster and quicker. We seek services to complement our lifestyles and this is exactly what Shell Select stores strive to do, making it convenient for customers to also pick up items on-the-go, when they drive up to Shell to fuel-up,” Christine Liew, Shell Head of Retail Marketing for Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Brunei, commented.

Shell Malaysia also took the opportunity to give back to the community. Also present at the Shell Shop to Win contest Grand finals was Yeap Kim See, founder of The Little NGO from KL, which supports more than 35 families who require financial assistance in Kapar, Selangor and single parent families from a residential area in the capital City.
