To further celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Boxer engine, Subaru are pleased to announce the introduction of the Forester Special Edition. The Subaru Forester Special Editions will be available from 1 September in two variants, a petrol Lineartronic and diesel Lineartronic.
Based on the XC Premium model, the Forester Special Edition model comes with additional equipment at no extra cost. Unique equipment for the Forester Special Edition includes Hunter Green Metallic Paint, front, side and rear under guards, wheel arch extensions and stainless steel cargo step panel as well as Special Edition brown leather seats with brown leather interior door grips, center armrest and center panel uprights.
Other equipment on the Forester Special Edition includes Subaru Starlink; a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, connectivity and navigation system, Hill Descent Control (HDC), X-Mode system, which intelligently manages the car’s power and torque, brakes and drivetrain to maintain traction on even the most slippery surfaces.
The Subaru Forester XC Premum previously received a myriad of interior enhancements, in accordance with an effort to raise the quality and ambience of the cabin. Central to the upgraded interior is a new factory-fit touchscreen infotainment and navigation system such as, the 7.0-inch touchscreen with navigation and Bluetooth/StarLink connectivity. At the same time, the refreshed Multi-Function Display (MFD) at the top of the dashboard continues to display useful information to the driver, such as temperature, the status of the standard All-Wheel Drive system and fuel economy data.
The updated interior of the Forester XC Premium also makes use of higher quality materials, in particular a new piano black central fascia, metallic highlights at key locations around the dashboard and more tactile heather controls. The other core upgrade to the Forester was the much improved NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) throughout the cabin, thanks to the adoption of greater soundproofing material under the bonnet and around the air intake.
The Subaru Forester Special Edition is slated for showrooms on 1 September; only 100 units will be distributed in the U.K. at a starting price of 29,995 pounds.
