The Subaru AWD Challenge was specially created for drivers to feel the Subaru difference with its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the brand’s unique combination of Subaru’s All-Wheel Drive and Boxer Engine that results in performance with safety, giving more joy and security in everyday driving.
The weekend’s challenge gave drivers of vehicles of any car make, not just the Subaru XVs or Foresters, with All-Wheel or 4-Wheel Drive capabilities a chance to put their vehicles and driving skills to the test through a range of activities meant to simulate various road conditions. Participants were also presented an opportunity to drive their SUVs in tough driving situations; all makeover and coordinated scenarios, of course.
Participants in the challenge were put up against four obstacles which consisted the Cross Roller, Slip-roller, Roller Conveyor and Side Ramp. Combined, these obstacles mimic off-road slippery, muddy and hilly conditions respectively.
Apart from the challenge, visitors and participants also got up, close and personal with the nominated Subaru variants such as the XV, Forester 2.0XT, Legacy GT, and XV Crosstrek. The best-selling Subaru XV was the vehicle of choice at the AWD challenge due to its more compact size, easy manoeuvrability and driving agility. Furthermore, the Subaru XV is built for comfort first and foremost, with a bit of push whenever situations call for it.
With the inaugural Subaru AWD challenge successfully held, Motor Image plans to continue this well-received event in the S.E.A. region, particularly in countries where Subaru has a substantial market share i.e. Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand.
