In a ‘Super Premium’ guise for the year, the Proton Suprima S SP now comes in 17-inch wheels and an R3 body kit that encompasses a re-worked rear bumper with a probable diffusor or rear foglight in perspective, front and side skirts, and a tardy R3 Emblem on one of the side skirts.

A 1.6-liter soft turbo powerplant is input under the hood, while the 7-speed ProTronic CVT delivers motion to the front wheels for a decent output of 140 PS @ 5,000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque between 2,000 – 4,000 rpm. Proton keeps claiming the Suprima S’ engine is equivalent to a 2.0l NA engine, only the owners would be able to testify.

Suprima S is one of the first variants to incorporate a Hot Press Forming (HPF) technology. HPF ensures better protection and structural rigidity without compromising the car’s weight. In terms of safety features, the 2014 guise Suprima S attains the six airbags, Hill-Hold Assist, ESC with brake assist, traction control and ABS with EBD.
The 2014 Proton Suprima S SP starred at the Proton Carnival last weekend in Malacca. Thereafter, the car is currently heading out to the next Proton carnival at Juru Auto City, Penang from 25 – 26 January.

The Proton Suprima S Super Premium is top-of-the-line, hence it is priced at RM 87,929.45, with two newer colors Fire Red and Solid White. A 5-year or 150,000km manufacturing warranty is included.
