Suzuki Motor Corporation has chosen the upcoming Paris Motor Show to premiere its all-new Vitara to the world. The Suzuki Vitara is a popular variant that makes a return to the Japanese automaker’s line-up after a little over a quarter of a century.

The Vitara is a production variant based on the iV-4 concept; which was first exhibited at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor show. For SUV enthusiasts, the new Vitara should present a striking road presence with a trendy exterior motif. When the SUV starts retailing after its world premiere, Suzuki have made available options to personalize the Vitara’s body colors and various trimmings.

In addition, the new Vitara is instilled plenty of innovative features, including the optional ALLGRIP intelligent 4-wheel drive. The SUV is offered with petrol and diesel engines that promote low CO2 emissions as well as good fuel economy.

The Vitara is available domestically as the Grand Vitara, a mid-sized SUV that’s depicted as a rugged, yet capable SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) for both on- and off-road experience. The 2015 Vitara, on the other hand, is a compact SUV.

Refreshed in 2012, the Grand Vitara distributed by Suzuki Malaysia Automobile carries over its stylish exterior motifs and interior features from the previous generation.

The 2013 Grand Vitara maintains its classic SUV posture with an aggressive stance, short (and off-road friendly, only available with the 4X4 variant) front and rear overhangs. It has that recognizable front bumper with wave-lined chrome grille and is mounted with 17-inch 10-spoke wheels.

The cabin space of the Grand Vitara is said to match sedan cars, with standard fabric for seats and silver-colored door inserts. Powered by a 2.0-liter J20A engine paired to a 4-speed AT transmission, the mid-sized SUV does a decent 138 hp (103kW) at 6,000 rpm and achieves 183 Nm of torque. For the domestic market, the Suzuki Grand Vitara fetches an on-the-road with insurance price of RM 121,100.

As for the new Suzuki Vitara, we’ll just have to wait till the official release to provide further details on general information and worldwide availability.
