With the New AMG A 35 Sedan, Mercedes-Benz intends to target it at influential young Executives, who’re on a look out for a high performance yet comfortable Premium option.

The AMG A 35 Sedan, which replaces the previous AMG A 45 , is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine to produce 306 hp with 400Nm from 3,000 rpm. The driver can expect smooth and instant power delivery and throttle response thanks to a reworked crankcase, made out of high-strength and lightweight die-cast aluminium. The lighter engine block ultimately reduces the vehicle weight and effectively improves driving dynamics. Along with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive, the A 35 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.

For the exterior, the AMG A 36 Sedan is based on the current generation A-Class. It’s defined by short overhangs and a wheelbase of 2,729 millimeters. Obviously, for an AMG, the sedan’s defining features are: Radiator grille with twin louvres, AMG front apron with flics on the air intakes, a front splitter and silver chrome trims. At the side, the 19-inch AMG double twin-spoke wheels immediately capture attention. When the doors are opened, you have the outstanding sills with the Mercedes-Benz to give you a certain premium quality feel.

From the rear, the AMG A 35 Sedan are recognizable with its two-part rear lights and a new diffuser insert.

Inside, the seats of the AMG A 35 Sedan is derived from ARTICO man-made leather with DINAMICA microfiber (black with red stitches), red seat belts. To distinguish it further, the seats got red piping on the microfiber DINAMICA trim and ventilation nozzles with a red ring. Looking to the center console, there’s the AMG center console with touchpad with access to the ESP and manual transmission mode.

As a sedan, the car’s back seat has good-sized head- and leg-room. The headroom is 944mm, while the boot can hold 420 liters, expandable with the seats folded down. The boot opening has a width of 950 mm and a diagonal of 462 mm between lock and lower edge of the rear window, allowing loading and unloading to be easy, even for larger objects.

IDriver and front passenger can access the MBUX multimedia system that displays brilliant maximum-resolution 3D graphics. The system comes with two displays under one shared glass cover paired into a Widescreen Cockpit.

The AMG A 35 Sedan is loaded with the new AMG Dynamic Select with integrated dynamic handling control system that works with functions of ESP. During dynamic cornering, imperceptible braking intervention on the rear inside wheel creates a defined yawing moment about the vertical axis, thus helping the A35 to place the car precisely where you want it to be. The help of the variable AMG Performance 4MATIC and a ‘shearing plate’, an aluminium plate under the engine, makes driving the car a whole lot of fun. While, toe and camber stability of the chassis components aid to increase the torsional rigidity and bending resistance especially at the front. Two additional diagonal braces at the front of the underbody also reduce torsion and increase the car’s stiffness.
