Toyota Malaysia has announced upgraded versions of the Hilux, Fortuner and the Innova. Bookings for all three models have already started at showrooms nationwide.

So what’s new with the cars, we’ll start with the Toyota Hilux pick up. The Hilux 2.8l  gets a Black Edition, which replaces the L-Edition previously.  By naming it Black Edition, it makes the truck meaner and more menacing with an exterior color theme of black and dark grey to go with a glossy black finish on the door handles, fresh fog lamp covers, wing mirrors, and finally 18-inch wheels. Dark grey is used for the bumper guards and applied on the front grille with contrasting black. Aside from looks, the Black edition Hilux gets  a new infotainment system and 6.75-inch touchscreen.  It is set to retail for RM139, 888. Top safety picks for the Hilux comprise the DVR and  optional Advanced Safety & Security features.

The Hilux’s cousin, the Fortuner has upgrades too, both the 2.4 and 2.7 variants now have Android Auto/CarPlay and a large 9-inch display. The starter Fortuner now comes standard with 7 airbags, while DVR comes as an option. The Fortuner 2.4 auto starts at RM171,500 and the remaining variants have a fixed price.

Toyota Innova, an affordable  Compact MPV

Toyota’s Innova 2.0X and 2.0G variants share upgrades like the Fortuner. Options include Blind Spot Monitor system (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert system (RCTA) and DVR.

The Innova is offered in 3 variants, all powered by an efficient 2.0-liter engine. Prices remain similar.
