The updated Lexus NX will make its world debut at the upcoming Shanghai International Motor Show, from 19 until 28 April. The NX Urban Crossover line-up has exceeded customers’ expectations globally since the model’s launch three years ago.
With its blend of expressive styling, a spacious package that offers comfort and safety, along with a dynamic driving experience, Lexus NX succeeded in helping the Brand grow globally. Now, with an updated exterior design, and interior enhancements that add convenience and functionality, the NX is poised to be recognized in the compact Crossover SUV segment.
The available Lexus NX200t has been given plenty of refreshed items from its October 2016 introduction. The exterior of the NX 200t comes with LED headlights, fresh door handle design with LED illuminationn, hidden keyhole, heated side mirrors with LED signal lights, a spoiler, privacy glass at the rear and a shark fin antenna. The lighting package also include fog lights, brake lights and DRLs. To top off the NX’s athletic stance, the compact Crossover gets 17-inch ten-spoke aluminum wheels, shod with 225/65R17 tyres. Body colors for the NX have been expanded to ten options, including the Silver Lining Metallic for the F-Sport version along with exclusive Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0, Molten Pearl and Ultra White.
Interior-wise, sound insulation in door panels, instrument panel and under carpet, engine compartment, dash panel and cabin has been improved. While, UV-reducing glass is utilized for all windows to ensure general comfort and cool factor. Interior offerings include carpeted floor mats, coat hooks, contrast stitching in light gray, Dark Umber interior trim pieces, leather-trimmed three-spoke steering and shift knob, sun visors and illumination on vanity mirror. Other standard items for the NX comprise of the 4.2-inch TFT LCD (or 7-inch touchscreen) multi-information display with navigation and voice recognition, automatic transmission shifter with sequential shift and scheduled/oil maintenance indicator lights.
For the seats, the NX is offered with a 10-way power with lumbar support driver’s and 8-way front passenger’s seats. The rear has the center arm rest with dual cup holders, 60/40 split fold down seats.
The drive modes available like Normal, Eco and Sport are selectable, based on driver’s desire to drive with a fuel-efficient mindset, or with a more thumping pace.
Depending on variants, the NX’s specifications differ for the Comfort and Premium trim levels . The top-tiered F-Sport comes with everything on board, obviously.
