The recently updated Peugeot 2008 has amassed a first half of the year sales total of 99,900 units worldwide, according to the latest release by the French marque. Since its initial debut in 2013, some 500,000 units have been distributed around the globe thanks to the model’s popularity, chic appealing factor and a host of current technologies.
For the 2016 Peugeot 2008, refreshed styling and enhanced specification provide the compact SUV with an even more assertive and appealing SUV design. The attributes include visual features to give it an enhanced presence; new wheel arch extensions (Allure level), while a new vertical front grille and front and rear scuff plates (Allure) confirm its robustness and are designed for everyday use. The new ‘Ultimate Red’ color further epitomizes the power and desirability of the 2008 SUV. The 2008 line-up comprises of Access A/C, Active, Allure and GT Line.
Inside, the updated 2008 SUV takes up the Peugeot i-Cockpit, which is unique to the marque and embodies the driving characteristics of the 2008 SUV, being agile, intuitive and safe. The compact sports steering offers precise steering and improved manoeuvrability, while the 7-inch multi-function color touch screen puts all the functionality at the driver’s fingertips. In addition, the head-up instrument panel allows driver information to be accessed without taking the eyes off the road.
Also new on board the Peugeot 2008 SUV is the Grip Control, an adapted traction system. The Grip control enables the new 2008 SUV its versatility on all types of terrain. It is combined with Mud & Snow tyres for selected countries. Equipment available on the refreshed 2008 SUV includes (subject to trim level) MirrorScreen, and Carplay, along with the reversing camera, Active City Brake and Park Assist.
Engine options available for the Peugeot 2008 SUV consist of four versions, deemed‘Best-in-Class’ in their segment, including the 1.2l PureTech 130 S&S 6-speed manual. The Euro6 engines ensure high-level driving pleasure while remaining fuel efficient.
