New Vespa LT150 3V joins line-up Naza Premira, distributors of Vespa scooters, has just revealed the new Vespa LT150 3V  to mark the X’mas and New Year festivities.

As the newest variant in Vespa Malaysia’s line-up, the LT150 3V is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder 3-valve engine with electronic fuel injection, a new bore and stroke and friction-reducing crankshaft. This newest version of the Vespa LT 150 retains the unique Vespa Design DNA, which has been subtly enhanced and combined with the latest Piaggio design and technology. This scooter is particularly suited for first time riders, according to the folks at Vespa M’sia.

The LT 150 is mounted on a sturdier and more aesthetically pleasing chassis, minus the addition weight. The air-cooled 3V engine with electronic fuel injection is lighter than its predecessor and provides decreased friction and improved fluid dynamics. In other words, the scooter is zippier and offers better fuel economy (approximately 30%) than the previous editions. Readings indicate that the 3V IE engine reaches the fuel level of 55km/l at 50km/h.

This scooter features a two-colored saddle with an embroidered Vespa logo and also sports Italian flags on both sides of the scooter to pay homage to its Italian roots. A round headlamp accentuates its curves and an embossed rear shield, footrest, and black lateral covers are in perfect harmony with the rear view mirrors, saddle and wheels.

Vespa LT 150 3V scooter is equipped with a single-armed front suspension; a distinctive feature found only in Vespa scooters. A safety side-stand with anti-start system reminds the rider to disengage the side-stand before running the scooter. The Vespa LT 150 3V is available in two hues (red and orange), with a price tag of RM9,888 as its base selling price.

On dealership network, Naza Premira is planning to expand on its current Vespa dealerships (18) in the Peninsular to more major cities in the main land and East Malaysia from 2015 and beyond.
