Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) just launched the first-ever “Polo P” project with a purpose to educate and empower newbie drivers on road safety. More recently, VPCM has tagged the Polo Hatchback at a very special price at RM 69,888.

If you’re a newbie or just got your license, then Volkswagen Malaysia’s Polo P project is the right path for you to learn the skills and knowledge to stay safe on the roads. To carry out the Polo P project VPCM will embark on a recruitment initiative at selected college and university campuses, and over the course of a weekend. All selected participants will be taught basic car maintenance, visual checkpoints, proper sitting and steering positions, and defensive driving which includes emergency braking, and a slalom course.

All driving exercises will be conducted in the Volkswagen Polo 1.6L hatchback: the compact with Big Fun factor. The perfect ride for newbies and those young at heart, the Polo’s 1.6-liter and a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, offers a zippy driving experience at a maximum torque of 153Nm, with fuel consumption of only 6.3L per 100km.

The Polo 1.6 HB is made for city driving adventures. Though small in stature, it’s certainly big on fun, and is the perfect ride without having to compromise on comfort, safety and quality. In looks, the Polo 1.6 HB takes up familiar headlight clusters that are decked in chrome.

Inside, the Polo is loaded with plenty of goodies such as an RCD 330G radio system with multi-language support, CD player (WMA/MP3 compatible), USB/iPod/Aux/SD connectivity, Aux-in, as well as Bluetooth and MirrorLink.
