Volkswagen will be world premiering the Touareg V8 TDI  at the Geneva Motor Show, from 7 – 17 March.  This absolute ‘Monster’ of an SUV takes on a massive 4.0-liter V8 that churns 421 PS (310 kW), becoming the brand’s most powerful model.  At peak torque, the new Touareg reaches 900 Nm, rivalling sports cars. At present time, the Touareg V8 TDI is approaching its final production stage  and is expected to hit the market in May.

The Vokswagen Touareg V8 is considered as a premium SUV, very obviously. To ensure maximum comfort, VW has made available these standard equipment: leather interior and air suspension, just to name two major features.

Exterior-wise, the new Touareg comes with a choice of either the standard Elegance design package or the Atmosphere package. Elegance stands for a technical interior design dominated by metal and cool color tones; One main highlight on the Touareg V8 is the interactive IQ.Light – LED matrix headlight

Moving inside, the Touareg has a warm interior with all the wood and natural tone trimmings. The seat system and door trims of both versions have a leather finish (“Vienna” type) as standard.And that’s not all…

For driver’s equipment, the screens of the Innovision Cockpit (digitized display and controls) with their glass covered surfaces, tanned leathers and aluminium and chrome details allow the high quality of the Touareg V8 TDI to be seen and felt. The wood applications are particularly elegant. An example of the Atmosphere design package: a narrow wing made of “curved beam wood” extends over.  Furthermore, a wood-themed dash panel is curved as one part and made of ash that follows the shape of the dash panel.

With the amazing performance, the new Touareg offers obvious optimum drive characteristics. Although max. speed is commissioned to 250km/h, the SUV hits 0 – 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Like all Touareg models, the new V8 version also complies with the Euro emission standard.

Compared to the models with V6-engines, the Touareg V8 TDI additionally includes air suspension, a boot lid that opens and closes electrically, comfort seats, an anti-theft alarm system, stainless steel pedals and the “Light & Sight” package (including automatically dimming exterior mirrors and automatic headlights) as standard. The Touareg V8 TDI also comes with 19-inch Tirano alloy wheels instead of 18-inch wheels.

Among the most notable driver assist and advanced systems attached with the new Touareg include Night Vision, Traffic Jam and Roadwork Lane Assist and Front Cross Traffic Assist. Technologies like the active all-wheel steering system and a roll stabilization system with electromechanically controlled anti-roll bars make handling of the Touareg V8 a breeze.
