Volkswagen Malaysia is organizing the VW Driving Experience at the Angsana Mall in Johor Bahru, from 15 – 16 October. The Volkswagen Driving Experience is scheduled to be held at Angsana mall’s open car A, featuring the newly launched VW Vento compact sedan.
The VW Driving Experience offers registered visitors and participants an opportunity to partake in the accurate techniques of handling a vehicle and get tips on car safety. The car familiarity program during the Driving Experience include proper sitting and steering wheel position and emergency braking. A special course has been setup to allow participants to hone their driving skills in a Volkswagen Vento or available VW models.Participants also get to perform defensive driving and maneuvers on the slalom courses throughout the entire weekend. Saving the best for last, Volkswagen Malaysia has arranged a stunt driver to wow the crowd with some nail-biting driving stunt shows for both Saturday and Sunday.
The Volkswagen Vento, used for the Driving Experience, comes with an award-winning 1.2l TSI turbocharged direct injection engine that is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The locally-assembled Vento features a chrome grille at the front and taut contour lines at the side. From the rear, the compact sedan has a streamlined outlook with unique combination lights, sculpted tailgate and slightly raised bumper with skid plate and deflectors.
Inside, the Volkswagen Vento is rather similar to the Polo Sedan but different in more features than one. Highlights include a three-spoke steering with switches, chrome accent on gearknob, air vents surrounds and center of dashboard, an updated audio unit, ample soft touch materials on the dashboard and other relevant panels, and lastly the seats are of high-quality fabric type.
Past Driving Experience events had received overwhelming response, with participants enjoying the learning experience on handling various driving conditions, as well as being pleasantly surprised by the Vento’s performance and drivability.
The Volkswagen Driving Experience is free of charge and open to members of the public with a valid driver’s license. There will be a total of five sessions each day, held between 12.00pm and 7.30pm, and each is on a first-come, first-served basis.
