Compared to the best selling Evoque variant, the RR (Range Rover) Sport HSE gets a more streamlined, all-round contour, a plush interior with a neat 5+2 seat, and lots of customizable options inside and out. In order to change the Range Rover personification from solidified to sporty, the new RR Sport takes on the Evoque’s muscular and contemporary outlook amidst larger dimensions: 62mm longer than the previous edition, at an overall 4850 mm, a larger 178mm wheelbase that max out at 2,923mm for a wider track, and the short rear overhang gives a slimmer wheel track of just 1,685mm. Gross weight for the new RR Sport has been reduced 500 kg, which denotes the RR Sport’s lesser laden weight from 3,000 to 3,050 kilograms. For more efficient aerodynamics, a tapered bodywork with subtle curves, slim rear lights and sculpted corners on the RR Sport meant an 8 percent improvement or a Cd level of 0.34.
At the front, you’ll notice the sloping Atlas Gloss Black surround grille that exudes a confident road image. Then, there are the Atlas fender vents and the Adaptive Xenon headlights with powerwash that blend very well with the signature LED headlight design. The front bumper is accentuated by the foglight surrounds and tow eye covers, two-tone bottom bumper with the recognizable stainless steel Undershield or simply known as Skid plate. Wheel and tyre sizes for the RR Sport range from 19-inch to 22-inch.
Interior-wise, the cabin takes on lots of detailed and plush sentiments, with plenty of soft-touch finishes and the CommandShift 2 which works in tandem with the 8-speed automatic transmission. This arrangement assists to keep the driver at the center of it all. The Sports Command Driving position gives the driver an unparalleled view of the road ahead. Furthermore, there’s an 18-way adjustable seat for the driver’s every comfort, a roomy rear seating package with an option of two hidden seats, an advanced Meridian sound system with 23 speakers, touch screens on the back of the front seats, a full panoramic roof, TFT (Thin Film Transistor) instrument panel (5.0-liter RR Sport), and plenty more. There are three powerplant options for the Range Rover Sport; 3.0-liter Diesel, 3.0-liter V6 Petrol and top flight 5.0-liter V8. Power output and torque across the RR Sport variant run from 292 PS to 510 PS and 450 to 625 Nm, respectively.
