Honda HR-V Sport Hybrid receives minor updates and new color in 2021

One of Honda’s best selling models, the HR-V has received fresh updates for 2021. The update is essentially for the HR-V Sport Hybrid version. particularly a new 7-inch display and a new Platinum White Pearl body hue.

 

As the top Non-national carmaker in the country, the Honda HR-V is one of the major contributors to the revenue cause. The HR-V was first introduced in 2015 and there are currently over 98,600 units sold, till date. In January 2019, the refreshed HR-V came about along with its more expensive siblings, the RS and Sport Hybrid versions. Last year, the HR-V emerged as the third best seller for Honda with a 17 percent contribution. The HR-V V version and Passion Red body hue, the two most sought-after.

 

The HR-V is offered in four versions: E, V, RS and Sport Hybrid i-DCD. The three HR-V versions, except the Sport Hybrid, take up a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine with CVT. The HR-V RS is equipped with Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system and special exterior features like 18-inch Dual-Tone wheels,  dynamic front grille and black-out front and rear bumpers.

 

2021 Honda HR-V Sport Hybrid

The new 7-inch display is available for all HR-V versions and allows seamless connectivity with Carplay and Android Auto. Honda has added 2 extra USB slots in the center console for convenience and a three-spoke leather steering to spice up the interior.

 

On the exterior, the HR-V Hybrid has new upgrades particularly the LED headlights with foglights, LED guide rearlights and chrome handles.

 

The hybrid HR-V is tagged with a 1.5l DOHC i-VTEC engine, paired with a 7-Speed dual-clutch gearbox, and an integratd motor for a more ‘joiced-up ride’.

 

Other notable 2021 HR-V Hybrid features are multi-angle rearview camera, cruise control, steering shifters, 8-way driver power seat, leather seats, and the Honda LaneWatch. Safety features are your standard 6 Airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Automatic Brake Hold (ABH), VSA, Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Isofix.

 

The four Honda HR-V versions have the following prices (unchanged from previous year):

HR-V E at RM104,000.21

HR-V V at RM113,421.92

HR-V RS at RM118,581.81
