The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo has its world premiere, today, as the first all-electric sports wagon or Estate.
Sharing the platform with the first Porsche all-electric Speedster, the Taycan Cross Turismo has gone through rigorous pre-launch testing at the Nurburgring, Nardo in Italy, France and Porsche’s proving grounds. Prior to its premiere, it has totaled 998,361 testing kilometers, which is equivalent to going around the world almost 25 times.
The New Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo benefits from an innovative electric drive with 800-volt architecture. Highlights include a high-tech chassis, an innovative all-wheel drive system, an adaptive air suspension for a dynamic off-road capability, 47mm more headroom at the rear and over 1,200 liters boot space.
The Taycan Cross Turismo (CT) comes in four versions: Taycan 4 CT, Taycan 4S CT, Taycan Turbo CT and Taycan Turbo S CT. Output ranges from 280 kW (380 PS) up to 460 kW (625 PS). All versions have Overboost power with Launch Control to add additional output of 420 kW (571 PS) up to 560 kW (761 PS). Century sprint is estimated at 5.1 seconds with the Taycan 4 and just 2.9 sec with the top-of-the-range Taycan Turbo S.
As all-round off-roader, the Taycan line-up is infused with a high-tech chassis and all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension, as well as the optional Off-road Design package, which makes the height of the car go up by 30mm. In addition, there’s a standard “Gravel Mode” for driving on challenging terrains or off-road.
Porsche has announced that the Taycan Cross Turismo line-up would go on sale in the second half of the year. Will it make a premiere in Malaysia soon? Stay tuned…
