Honda’s best known compact SUV, the HR-V has been updated for the year. The 2021 HR-V even gets a new Platinum White Pearl paint.
Across the board, the 2021 HR-V has a new 7-inch display audio and 2 USB ports, fixed in the center console. The highest grade, the HR-V Sport Hybrid gets updates on the aesthetics such as chrome door handles, 3-spoke steering, LED headlights, LED guide rearlights and LED foglights, making the car look as premium as ever. The HR-V RS version now comes with 18-inch 2-tone wheels and an upbeat front grille along with reworked front and rear bumpers.
The HR-V is still driven by a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine with CVT, except for the HR-V Sport Hybrid i-DCD which has a 1.5l and 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The HR-V RS version has Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system for a sportier drive.
Other updated equipment include multi-angle rearview camera, cruise control, paddle shift, 8-way driver power seat, leather seats and Honda LaneWatch. Safety features remain similar to the previous list.
The HR-V runs from RM104,000.21 all the way up to RM118,581.81. The HR-V Sport Hybrid i-DCD doesn’t have a price yet.
What’s Honda CONNECT
Honda Connect applies Telematics Technology to allow users to connect with their cars via an app.
Key functions of the Honda Connect include Vehicle Diagnostics, Remote Applications, Security Applications, Vehicle Tracking and Support Services. Within the function of Safety and Security, Honda CONNECT is equipped with Automatic Collision Detection System, Security Alarm Detection, Speed Alert, Find My Car, Geo-Fencing Alert and Emergency Call. Lastly, the app offers Remote Vehicle Control (Car Status and Service Reminder), Vehicle Dashboard and Point of Interest (POI) search and Remote Diagnostic Support.
