Honda Malaysia has announced their new and first female Chief, Ms. Madoka Chujo. Madoka effectively replaces the former Managing Director and CEO Toichi Ishiyama, on 1 April.
The youthful and sassy Madoka, having taken office beginning of April, was previously the Vice President at Honda Canada. She has been a veteran at Honda with a career spanning 23 years. She joined the company in 1997 and over the years, she has held various roles in Japan, China, Spain and Canada. Her expertise and experience are in the area of Sales Strategy during her various stints in the countries she’d served.
On her role, the new Chief remarked, “I am looking forward and excited for my first assignment as the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, and at the same time I am also eager to explore Malaysia as the country is unique and a melting pot of diverse cultures and people, with enormous potential and of course a fast-paced work environment.”
