The brand new Skoda Fabia is getting prepped for a world debut on 4 May. The new-generation Fabia marks its fourth rendition of Skoda’s most popular compact model, known globally.
The Skoda Fabia was once sold in Malaysia, but it has since disappeared from domestic shores for good.
The brand Skoda has thrived under the umbrella of Volkswagen Group in recent years and the New Fabia is a testament to the rebirth of the Czech. Automotive brand under the VW Group.
First impressions of the New Skoda Fabia
The New Fabia previews the Skoda’s most recent design signatures including sharper front and rear lights and larger dimensions. The car incorporates VW Group’s Modular Tranverse Toolkit (MQB). It measures 111 millimeters longer and 48 millimeters wider than its predecessor. Additionally, the rear of the car offers 50 liters more boot space.
At first glance, the New Fabia features diagonal front view highlighted by the flat front LED headlights, L-shaped DRLs and wide grille, combined with chrome frame and black ribs. It has large wheels to prove its masculine side.
At the side, it has elongated roof spoiler with side finlets to go along with the side mirrors and adjustable cooling shutters in the front bumper’s lower air inlet. From the rear, the car has a fastback layout to reflect the popular trend these days. In addition, the signature rear LED lights are slim and contemporary.
As the car’s dimensions are larger, the cabin has more room for passengers. Likewise, the instrument panel with Fabia insignia has been upgraded and features a central, free-standing display to go with colored horizontal decorative trim and large round air outlets. Other notable interior decos include colored elements in the center console and door handles, and newly designed chrome door openers.
