The Ultimate Roadster, the McLaren Elva is finally going into production after much delay. The first production McLaren Elva would be the windscreen version, after sources from the Woking-manufacturers revealed.
As the purest of Roadsters, the McLaren Elva features the Active Air Management System (AAMS), hence it is dubbed the Windscreen variant. There’s also a screen-less McLaren Elva version, for the ultimate thrill ride.
As with all evolved McLarens, the Elva roadster has optimized aerodynamics and boosted performance. Thanks to a weight shaving elements, the roadster weighs in at just 1300 kilograms, and that’s the dry kerb weight.
Powering up to 815 PS
The McLaren Elva Roadster is packed with a 4.0-liter mid-mounted, duo-turbo V8 to churn an impressive 815 PS, rivalling that of the McLaren Senna. The screen-less Elva roadster is able to hit the century mark in 2.8 seconds. Sounds insane, doesn’t it?
The McLaren Elva roadster is in a limited production run of just 140 units. The 140 McLaren Elvas will be specified and built as per customer order.
