Well, we’ve come to another full Lockdown, the third full lockdown in the country. Fortunately, we have some interesting automotive features for our readers during this break. Today, we feature the BMW 630i GT, the concept of Gran Turismo.
BMW Malaysia has a knack for inserting M Sport into every model they have, and the latest models include the 530i and 530e (see our previous feature), and the 630i GT. The three M Sport versions are locally-assembled to keep ownership costs desirable for a premium make.
The BMW 630i GT M Sport starts out at RM430k, slashing to RM417k mark, with tax incentives. The 630i GT is a step up from the 530i with updated headlights (LED Matrix), the familiar front grille and a rear bumper, plus adjustable spoiler and 630i GT emblem. The finishing touch to the look is 20-inch M wheels ( Star-spoke style 817 M Bi-color) and ‘Blue’ brake callipers, and not forgetting M high-gloss Shadow Line frames to beef up status.
To get inside the 630i GT, you need the Display Key which gives access to the 630i GT’s refined interior. First up, you have the Dakota leather with anthracite headliner seats, then wood ash trims all round.
Display screens come in two variations: the instrument digital displays (10.25-in to 12.3-in). The driver gets to grip the M Sport steering and be ready for action. Passenger comfort is assured by 4-zone a/c, sunblinds and a panoramic glass roof.
For entertainment, the car has a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Plus, a myriad of digital assistance systems and BMW Live Professional suite ensure that the occupants are safe, sound and well endowed.
The 630i GT’s powertrain gives an output of 258 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm.
The 630i GT M Sport has four body hue options: Bernina Grey Amber Effect, Mineral White, Carbon Black and Sophisto Grey Brilliant Effect. Interior options include either Dakota leather black or cognac.
