Having been previewed prior, about a year ago, Volkswagen Malaysia has finally announced the availability of the sleek and classy Arteon R-Line 4Motion.
The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line is locally-assembled and the price estimates range from RM245,000 – RM255,000.
Once glance at the VW Arteon and you’d immediately notice the car’s impressive stand with its curvy profile and all-out dress-to-impress demeanor.
When VW M’sia previewed it last year, the car was the center of attention at a local mall. Fast forward to present, the Arteon has arrived on the scene with style and grace at VW showrooms nationwide. Fresh for 2021, the Arteon has been updated with from inside and out. In addition, it has a new engine and a bunch of new tech.
Being an R-Line simply means the Arteon is dressed to kill from the get-go. First off, the car’s front has a redesigned grille and bumper, which are complimented by full LED headlights. The profile has the fastback silhouette to go with those impressive wheels. From the rear, there are 3D LED lights with sequential indicators and of course, that fastback outlook.
Interior-wise, the flagship sedan is all about elegance and comfort. We have a new cockpit, highlighted by a new steering with haptic touch controls, a 9.2” touch screen with voice/gesture, the driver’s digital instrument cluster, and ErgoComfort sports R-Line seats in Nappa Carbon leather. For entertainment, the car features a powerful Harman Kardon 700-watt 12-speaker system.
The Arteon R-Line takes up a 2.0l TSI, paired to a 7-speed wet clutch DSG to churn 280PS and a max torque of 350Nm. Being a 4Motion version means power is transferred to all four wheels to enable a century sprint in 5.6 seconds.
In the safety department, the Arteon R-Line has several top-notch mentions, namely Lane Assist, Side Assist and Driver Alert.
The new Arteon R-Line is available in five colors: metallic options are Lapiz Blue, Manganese Grey, Pyrite Silver, Pearl-effect Deep Black and Pearl Oryx White.
