All-new Kia Picanto set for debut in early 2017

Kia is set to unveil the all-new Picanto, in its third-generation life-cycle. The first artist sketches of the a;l-new Picanto were released by Kia Motors.

The new Picanto combines a youthful and energetic new exterior and interior design with greater potential for customer personalization, inside and out. Retaining its characteristically compact dimensions, the new Picanto conveys a more assertive stance through bolder body lines and a vibrant colour palette.

Inside, the car’s suite of high-tech comfort, convenience and safety features is underscored by a modern and refined new cabin design, with smarter packaging efficiency than ever before.

The new Kia Picanto is set for full revelation in early in 2017.

The Kia Picanto is distributed by Naza Kia Malaysia. Having been updated in July 2016, the Kia Picanto ‘1 Air’ entry variant has been upgraded with an air conditioning system. The model also now benefits from Bluetooth, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and front seat belt height adjustment.

The mid-range Picanto ‘SE’ grade has all the equipment that was standard on the previous ‘SR7’, plus automatic air conditioning and Kia’s Intelligent Stop & Go (ISG) engine stop/start system with the manual gearbox. This grade is offered with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and a manual gearbox, or a 1.25-liter four-cylinder unit with automatic transmission.

The third variant, the Picanto ‘Sport’, boasts sharp looks with stylish front and rear bumpers and a twin-tipped exhaust tailpipe. There are also additional side sill mouldings painted to match the body color. The ‘Sport’ models are finished in exclusive red, black or white paintwork. Sporty-looking five-barrel 15-inch alloy wheels shod with 175/50 tyres are the final finishing touch.

Interior refinements include grey/black faux leather seats with striking red cloth cushions and backrests, matching inserts on the doors, aluminium pedals with non-slip rubber pads, and gloss black finish on the center fascia, steering bezel and gearshifter top. In addition, standard equipment for the Sport version comprises satellite navigation, automatic air conditioning, cruise control and a speed limiter. ‘Sport’ models are powered by the 1.25-liter engine and are available with a manual gearbox and ISG or with automatic transmission.
