Audi Malaysia announces 2017 A4 Line-up: A4 1.4 TFSI, 2.0 TFSI quattro and 2.0 TFSI Tech pack

Audi Malaysia today announced the availability of three eagerly-anticipated variants of their popular Audi A4 sedans. The 2017 Audi A4 line-up comprises the entry-level Audi A4 1.4 TFSI, the Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro and A4 2.0 TFSI Tech pack.

The base Audi A4 1.4 TFSI takes up the familiar 1.4 liter engine and 7-speed S tronic transmission that develops 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm. This dynamic combination allows the Audi A4 1.4 TFSI to accelerate from 0-100km/h in a brisk 8.5 seconds. Befitting its smaller engine capacity, this model is also frugal in terms of fuel consumption, with a combined fuel consumption of 5.2l/100 km and a CO2 emissions rating of just 119 g/km.

In terms of the exterior design, the Audi A4 1.4 TFSI differs from the standard Audi A4 2.0 TFSI only in terms of the wheel design as well as the xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and halogen taillights instead of full LED lights. On the interior, the smaller-engined variant is also almost identical to the standard Audi A4 2.0 TFSI, with the key difference being the steering wheel design.

On the other end of the spectrum sits the Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro, which combines an uprated 2.0 TFSI engine developing 252 hp and a maximum 370 Nm of torque with Audi’s legendary quattro permanent all-wheel drive system for blistering performance. This top-of-the-range Audi A4 makes the century sprint in just 5.8 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Fuel efficiency and C02 emissions remain impressive for the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI quattro at 5.9l/100km and 136 g/km.

Equipped with S line package as standard, the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI quattro comes with sportier front and rear bumpers, 18-inch 5-twin-spoke ‘Star’ design cast aluminium wheels, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, sports front seats, Alcantara upholstery, matt brushed aluminium inlays, Audi smartphone interface for Carplay and Android Auto, Audi connect and numerous other range-topping features.

Lastly, but certainly not least, the Audi A4 2.0 Tech pack features a bristling technology arsenal with the Audi virtual cockpit, Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators in the front (dynamic indicators are already standard for rear lights in all A4 variants), Audi smartphone interface for Carplay and Android Auto and a number of other advanced technological features all coming as standard.

Under the engine hood, the Audi A4 2.0 Tech pack sports the same 2.0-liter engine as the previously introduced 2.0 TFSI variants, developing 190 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h acceleration of just 7.3 seconds. Despite its athletic performance, this engine posts class-leading fuel-efficiency due to an innovative new combustion method, with a combined fuel consumption rating of just 5.0l/100km and a CO2 emissions rating of 114g/km.

The Audi 1.4 TFSI, comes in seven color options; Glacier White, Floret Silver, Scuba Blue, Tango Red, Monsoon Grey, Argus Brown, as well as Mythos Black and starts at RM 218,900. Meanwhile, the range-topping Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro variant, is available at RM314,900 with seven colour options namely Glacier White, Floret Silver, Scuba Blue, Tango Red, Monsoon Grey, Daytona Grey, as well as Mythos Black.

As for the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Tech pack, buyers can choose from the seven color options; Glacier White, Floret Silver, Tango Red, Argus Brown, Scuba Blue, Monsoon Grey and Mythos Black. The Tech pack is valued at an additional RM25,000 from the standard retail price of RM248,900 for the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI, which puts it at RM273,900.

The new Audi A4 1.4 TFSI and Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro will be available for viewing and booking at all authorised Audi dealerships nationwide by Friday, 14 April, with special introductory prices of RM 199,900 and RM 294,900 respectively, while stocks last. On the other hand, the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Tech pack is available at a special introductory pricing of RM249,900, again whilst stocks last. Delivery of all three variants will be from May 2017 and all five variants of the Audi A4 will enjoy 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage from April 2017 onwards.
