Caltex Partners With Grab To Deliver Food To Frontliners

Chevron Malaysia Limited, which markets the retail brand, Caltex® (“Caltex”), in partnership with Grab Malaysia, has donated about 2,800 meals to frontliners who have been serving the nation selflessly since the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in Malaysia. From 15 May to 11 June, Caltex and Grab will deliver food packs to health workers at clinics, as well as police officers and army personnel who are manning roadblocks.

In this innovative collaboration, Caltex has appointed the homegrown everyday everything app as our community outreach partner and tapped into Grab’s breadth of expertise in the food and beverage sector as well as their depth of industry experience in delivery and logistics management. Under this program, Caltex and Grab are working with Alibaba and Nyonya Cafe, a home-grown restaurant which serves authentic Malay-Nyonya cuisine with a contemporary twist, to supply the food packs in their bid to support local businesses throughout this challenging period. Grab will collect the food prepared by Alibaba and Nyonya Cafe before sending them to frontliners at various clinics and roadblocks.

In light of the month of Ramadhan, the food packs will be delivered in the evenings to accommodate the requirements of frontliners who are fasting during this period.
