Continental MC6 tyre with improved tread design and compound

Continental Malaysia has launched the next-generation MaxContact (MC6) tyres for the domestic market. The Continental MC6 is not just a successor to the previous generation’s MC5, its features have been recalibrated into an even sportier tyre. Some of the USPs of the MC6 include German technology for dependability, tyre stability, maximum safety and a tyre that provides an ultimate grip.

When comparing the new MC6 to the Mc5, the newer MC delivers a much improved performance in wets and dry surfaces, as well as better mileage and reliable wet braking. The tagline “When Performance Counts” is a suitable motto for the MC6, which epitomizes the way for “Vision Zero” by providing technologies for safer driving.

All Continental tyres carry the German technology tag for its supposedly cutting-edge technology and dependable reliability. The MC6 is a definite choice for drivers who prefer a more performance-oriented tyre but not as costly as some of the ultra high performance shods out there. The Mc6 highlights comprise Multifunctional Tread design, Adpative Grip compound and Xtreme Force construction.

With multifunctional tread design, the Continental MC6 tyre receives enhanced grip and handling, which supposedly betters stability and reduces braking distance. Its pattern design enables maximum grip where safety counts and cornering speed, be it wet or dry.

Adaptive grip compound is another significant element in the MC6. Its purpose is to enable a superior grip that interlocks with the road’s surface. The compound is included to ensure maximum grip and safety, down to the nanometer scale.

The MC6’s Xtreme Force construction basically delivers much exceptional cornering, if you’re a drifter kind. At cornering and high speed, the the stiffness of the Xtreme Force ply material reduces tyre flexing and provides maximum control or betters handling. At lower speed, the adaptive ply retains flexiility to respond to a more comfortable ride.

Apart from the star qualities above, the MC6 also offers ‘Good’ mileage and low noise levels for daily commutes. The Mc6 is offered from wheel sizes of 16- up to 20-inches. The 20-inch tyre is flown in from Europe and generally recommended for adrenaline-charged cars or supercars, for that matter.

The Continental MC6 is manufactured at Continental Malaysia’s domestic plant in Alor Setar, State of Kedah.
