Continental Tyre Malaysia introduces new UC6 and CC6 tyres

Continental Tyre Malaysia has introduced the new UltraContact UC6 and ComfortContact CC6 tyres for the domestic market. Both UC6 and CC6 have thoroughly tried and tested to suit the harsh Malaysian weather and conditions. With the new tyres, Continental further affirms its relentless pursuit to provide motorists an enhanced and safe driving experience.

Continental Tyre Malaysia (CTM) has invested heavily in R&D to develop the Generation 6 products by conducting extensive tests to deliver the premium product quality that the brand represents. UltraContact UC6 and ComfortContact CC6 have been designed based on an in-depth understanding of the needs and driving habits of car drivers in the Asia Pacific region.

Thanks to advanced German technology and innovative tread design, the UC6 offers an enhanced driving experience, as well as a balanced factor across all performance features. The UC6’s superior ride and perfect all-around performance are attributed to these unique features: Aqua Drainage tread design, diamond edge pattern, adaptive Diamond Blend compound and reduced noise levels.

In the wets, the UC6 has high safety levels thanks to the tyre’s ‘Aqua Drainage’ tread design that enhances wet grip and reduces aquaplaning. In addition, the Diamond Edge Pattern of the UC6 prevents the “rolling-in” effect of the pattern blocks for short braking distances. Secondly, the chamfered angle wipes the water film away on wet roads, ensuring extreme short braking distances in the wets.

The next attribute is the adaptive Diamond Blend compound, which consists of short-chained grip-polymers and long-chained mileage-polymers. This unique tyre compound enables a high grip level for braking and cornering, combined with provision for longer mileage. The UC6 also has reduced noise levels with the advent of Noise Breakers 2.0, an enhanced version of the well-known Noise Breaker concept to interrupt the noise waves in the grooves.

The Continental UC6 tyre ranges from 15 to 19 inches and is available at all Continental Best Drive dealerships.

Continental CC6

The direct replacement of the popular CC5 passenger car tyre is none other than the latst CC6. The CC6 has an uprated comfort level and is recommended as the best choice for drivers who consider comfort a priority. Unique attributes of the new CC6 are low Noise levels, Flexible compound and long lasting.

The CC6 has been improved by far in terms of noise levels, compared to the previous edition. To reduce noise levels, the CC6 has a redesigned tyre pattern where the Harmonic Comfort Chambers, positioned on the inner shoulder of the pattern, cancel out unpleasant noise frequencies. Meanwhile, the “Whisper Compound” of the CC6 features polymers which adapt to the rough surface of the road, resulting in the reduction of vibration for less tyre noise.

Aided by flexible compound, the CC6 absorbs road bumps as if it’s a norm. The flexible compound with “Whisper Compound” further supports the damping effect, thus providing much improved rolling comfort.

Lastly. the CC6 has a high mileage sustainability thanks to advanced sulphur network in the compound. The advanced sulphur acts as an enhanced bond for the polymers, ensuring greater efficiency in mileage performance.

The Continental CC6 tyre ranges from 13 to 16-inches and is suited for most sub-compact and compact passenger car models.
