Enhanced version of the Mitsubishi ASX rolls out in Malaysia

Enhanced Mitsubishi ASX Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has officially introduced the enhanced 2015 Mitsubishi ASX today. Following the last year’s Special Edition ASX, MMM has decided to enhance its best-selling SUV, probably for the final run.

Interested customers can now own the award-winning compact SUV for a starting price of just RM104, 791.87 with the introduction of a new variant, ASX 2WD GL. The existing ASX line-up already include the 2WD (two-wheel) and 4WD (four-wheel).

The stylish compact SUV now comes with refreshed exterior motifs for both 2WD and 4WD versions. The new exterior attributes comprise of the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), a Shark Fin antenna and two-toned 17-inch wheels. On top of that, the four-wheel drive ASX now includes a maximum of 7 airbags (Dual front, Side, Curtains and Knee Airbags). The ASX’s turning ratio has a class-leading figure of 5.3 meters.

Enhanced Mitsubishi ASX interior

Interior wise, the ASX variants line-up now comes with a touchscreen (only for 2WD and 4WD ASX) that’s compatible with USB, Bluetooth, Navigation, and even enables Virtual Acoustic Positioning. The Virtual Acoustic Positioning system provides surround sound stage audio for a crisp interior acoustic experience. For the center console and door panels, the ASX boasts a new center console design and piano black door switch panels. Besides the new additions, standard equipment for the ASX line-up consists of leather seats, automatic air conditioning, colored Multi-Info Display and auto retractable side mirrors, just to name a few.

The Mitsubishi ASX continues to be ignited by the 2.0-liter MIVEC engine that allows for an output of 150 PS and 197 Nm of torque. With the enhanced INVECS-III CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) coupled with Sports Mode, the enhanced ASX offers a better acceleration and at the same, helps reduce fuel consumption.

The ASX 4WD standard equipment list adds keyless entry with push-start operation, cruise control and paddle shifters. Whereas across the board , ABS and EBD are regular safety fixtures; the 4wD ASX however gets more safety features such as; All-wheel Control, Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control and Hill Start Assist (HSA).

The ASX 2WD is priced at RM112,571.39 and ASX 4WD is at RM125, 040.67, minus insurance. Colors available are the new Sporty Blue, along with existing Titanium Grey, Cool Silver and Solid White. The ASX package includes a 5-Year warranty. In conjunction with MMM’s 10th Year Anniversary in the country, Mitsubishi Malaysia is offering up to RM 12,000 cash rebates for selected variants and further cash deals for bookings made prior to 31 March 2016.
