The car’s much-loved signature design feature is the split rear doors, along with full-sized side doors for easy accessibility and everyday usability. The Clubman is a powerful fusion of sleek lines, innovative touches and first-rate materials with generous space for five occupants, more-than-adequate luggage capacity and MINI’s familiar driving characteristics.
With a more mature and sophisticated outlook, the MINI Clubman’s dimensions are larger than those of the previous generation. It’s also 270 mm longer and 73 mm wider than the Mini 5-door Hatch, with a wheelbase which is 100 mm larger. The boot has a volume of 360 liters, which can be extended to 1,250 liters by folding the rear seats flat.
The latest generation of Twin Turbo engines have been installed under the bonnet, with four units available from launch: the Cooper Clubman, Cooper D Clubman, Cooper S Clubman and Cooper SD Clubman. Fuel and emissions are rated 4l/100km (68.9mpg) and 109 g/km. New to the Clubman is an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, which is available as an option on the aforementioned variant. Exceptional handling comes courtesy of a suspension set-up which is unique to the Clubman variant.
Numerous features make their debut on the new Clubman, including an electric parking brake, full electric seat adjustment and the optional “Yours Interior Styles” with backlit door bezels. Apart from that, the Clubman incorporates the Navigation System as standard equipment and the Excitement Package, also as standard. The Excitement package adds extended interior lighting and a projection of the brand logo on to the ground beneath the driver’s side mirror, when the door is opened and closed.
The MINI Clubman, available for the UK region, retails from 19,995 Pounds, starting with the Cooper Clubman.
