At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the stage is set for the world debut of the 220 mph (354 km/h) GXE All-Electric Supercar. The GXE all-electric, twin-turbo powertrain by Genovation Cars Inc. pumps 800+ horsepower.
Genovation Cars, maker of the world’s fastest street legal electric supercar, has produced a series of pre-launch videos. The GXE world debut will take place on Tuesday, 9 January.
“Our third video focuses on the GXE’s state-of-the art electric powertrain,” said Andrew Saul, CEO of Genovation Cars, Inc. “Our single shaft, dual stack motor is paired with inverters that can power the twin motor to a maximum torque of 950 Nm (700 lb.-ft.) at an rpm the seven-speed manual transmission or the paddle-shift automatic can tolerate. The GXE will achieve 0-60 mph in less than three seconds and top speed will exceed 354 km/h (220 mph).”
The pre-production GXE on display at CES is first and foremost about performance and sustainability. The car will feature the latest electric powertrain and battery technology, much of it derived from F1 and Le Mans racing experience.

In recent years, several issues have converged to create demand for the kind of vehicle Genovation builds:
Climate change, due to high carbon dioxide emissions, is now a widely accepted fact. As a global community, we must all take whatever actions we can to reduce harmful greenhouse gases. A recent draft report from the US Government titled Climate Science Special Report finds it “extremely likely that more than half of the rise in temperature over the past four decades has been caused by human activity.”
There has been an increase in the awareness of the negative effects of air pollution, especially on the young and old. The World Health Organization has estimated that up to 2.4 million people a year die from causes directly attributed to air pollution. Research has shown a correlation between air pollution and the incidences of asthma, particularly among children.
As atmospheric CO2 levels rise, the gas dissolves into our oceans causing the water to become more acidic. Ocean acidification negatively impacts biodiversity and is particularly damaging to shellfish and kelp putting fisheries around the globe at risk.
