The 10th generation Honda Accord might still be new in Malaysia, but the Americans are getting a new update for the 2021 model year. For the 2021 model year, the Accord will get a refresh on its styling, technology, drivability, and safety feature.
On the update, the exterior of the Accord will boast a wider, restyled grills to integrate the improved radar unit for the Honda Sensing system. The new LED high and low-beam headlight can shine wider and longer illumination in the dark.
For the interior, the 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen entertainment system now standard, and the highest specification Accord will get new wireless Apple CarPlayand Android Auto integration. Wireless charging and wireless smartphone integration reduce the extra step of physically connecting the phone, while freeing up an additional USB port for charging a separate phone.
Lastly, the safety system for the 2021 Honda Accord gets some update and improvement. Now all Accords receive a new Rear Seat Reminder and a rear seatbelt reminder as standard equipment. During parking situation, the new Low Speed Braking Control uses the parking sensor to warn the driver or apply the brakes to help avoid or mitigate a collision. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keeping Assist system (LKAS) for the 2021 model have been made smoother in terms of braking when following another vehicle, while LKAS offers more effective and natural lane centering.
