When the Honda Accord was launched back in February 2020, the country went into lockdown due to the pandemic. Despite the lockdown, Honda Malaysia still manage to receive around 920 units of bookings for this D-segment sedan.
Among the model, the 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged Premium (TC-P) became the most popular variant among buyers with 78% of the sales goes to this model. Up till now, Honda Malaysia manage to delivered around 500 units of Honda Accord nationwide which translated to 40% of market share.
For colour preference, many buyers have opted for the new Platinum White Pearl colour, accounting for 33% of the total bookings. The majority of the buyers for the Honda Accord comes from the central region, which contributed around 42% of the total bookings, followed by southern region and northern region at 23% and 19% respectively.
The appeal for the new 10th generation Honda Accord are contributed by a sporty looking exterior, paired with plenty of high tech features inside the car. The turbocharged 1.5L engine which pushes out 201PS of power and 260Nm of torque which is more powerful than the old 2.4L power unit, which also manage to be certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV).
On the safety front, the Honda Accord is equipped with the full suite of Honda Sensing technology. It consist of safety system such as Smart Parking Assist System with Brake Assist, Multi-view Camera System (360 Camera), Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), and Honda LaneWatch.
