Honda Malaysia Launches The BR-V With 2 Community Relief Campaign

The Honda BR-V sales has been strong since it was introduce in Malaysia back in January 2017, for 2020, Honda Malaysia brought in a refresh version of the 7-seater crossover. The BR-V was launched together with two Community Relief Campaign that Honda Malaysia to help those who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During this pandemic period, Honda Malaysia as a company wants to reach out to the community. The 1st campaign is set to start from 2nd June to 31st August 2020, the campaign is dedicated to support the COVID-19 relief programme by donating a portion of the sales of the new BR-V to the relief programme. Apart from that, Honda Malaysia also assembled its dealers in a joint effort to support the affected communities in their neighbourhood through the “Honda Dealer Donation Drive” that will run from 1st June till 31st August 2020. For this campaign, customers can visit the nearest Honda dealerships to donate basic necessities that will be distributed to affected communities.

Back to the new Honda BR-V, it features several enhancement that makes the crossover more appealing. On the outside, the new BR-V now comes with a more masculine look that complements the “Active-Solid Motion” design language with a new front grille, new front bumper with lower bumper garnish, new front fog light garnish as well as new 16-inch dual tone allow wheel design. At the rear, there are the new shark fin antenna and new rear bumper with lower bumper garnish.

As for powertrain, the new BR-V continues to be powered by the same 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine and Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) that was found in the pre-facelift car. On the top spec BR-V, owners can now shift their own gears through the Paddle Shifter fitted at the rear of the steering wheel.

Other new component that is found on the new BR-V are like new tweeter speakers, cargo light and cabin filter to improve the comfort level of the car. For the V variant, you now get a new 7-inch display audio that give you more versatility in the headunit. There are also new leather seats with red finishing that is matched to the red stitching on the gear knob. For the E variant, owners now get auto air conditioning, keyless entry and push start button is now a standard feature.

For colour, the updated BR-V now comes with a new colour, Marine Purple Pearl. This adds on to the White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Passion Red Pearl that was seen on the previous BR-V.

The E variant is priced at RM89,900 while the V variant is priced at RM96,900.
