Hyundai announces full line-up for 2020

Hyundai has announced a complete 2020 line-up for global distribution. Several models are available in Malaysia, including the Sonata, Accent, Elantra, IONIQ, Veloster,  Santa Fe and Tuscon.

For 2020, three models are all-new while the remaining models all received updates. Both Palisade and Venue SUVs are specifically for  European and American markets. The 2020 Palisade has a dominant front design with separate composite headlights (LED) and DRLs. There’re new turn signal lights. Wheel sizes range from 18 – 20-inch.

On the inside, the interior is large with special themes and a premium feel. Other interior highlights include 8” Display Audio, 10.25” Wide Screen Navigation system, 12.3” Fully Digital TFT LCD, Harman Kardon Premium Audio, Heads-up display, Captain’s chairs and cabin intercom,

Safety-wuse, Hyundai’s latest SUV has Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist w/ Pedestrian Detection, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist,  Rear Cross-Traffic, Lane Keeping Assist and more.

The 2020 Hyundai Venue is an entry SUV that mimics the Palisade. It shares plenty of interior highlights and safety features of its larger sibling.

The Venue carries a  1.6-liter engine with 6-speed manual or Smartstream IVT, Hyundai calls it intelligent variable timing, in other words CVT.

2020 Sonata is the best model on Hyundai’s diverse portfolio. The standard and hybrid variants share a coupe silhouette and the brand’s third-generation platform. The large sedan’s got Digital Key, which allows for unlocking the car via an app. In addition, the car has Hidden Lighting Lamps to make the interior look like a million bucks.

Hyundai’s compact line-ups

The Hyundai Accent and Elantra both received a similar upgrade from 6-speed auto transmission to an IVT. The engine on the Accent gets a minor update with dual port injection added. The Elantra’s previous manual gearbox has been discontinued, while the top-of-the-line Elantra GT is brought forward to 2020.

Hyundai’s best known hybrid model, the IONIQ receives an enhancement for 2020. The Korean marque will release further information about it at a later date.

Other models that are carried forward included the Veloster, Santa Fe, Kona/Kona Ekectric and Tucson.
