Kia Stinger Receives Essential Updates For The Year

Kia’s Performance Sedan the Stinger has been updated in its European specifications for 2021.  The Euro-spec Stinger is slated to go on sale in several European markets in late 2020.

What’s new for the 2021 Kia Stinger? It’s got refreshed exterior elements and new tech. The car’s front has the signature Tiger-nose grille, more accentuated,  with LED headlights and foglights. From the rear, the combination light spans the width of tailgate to match the spoiler integrated into the trunk lid. In addition, there is the new turn signals with individual LED units to resemble a chequered flag. The wheels comprise 19-inchers and a new color Ascot Green is introduced to the Stinger range for the first time.

Inside, the cabin is practically left untouched but subtle changes include a metallic finish to sections of the steering wheel, a chrome bezel around the instrument cluster and a frameless rear-view mirror.

More new stuff added to the Stinger are; dashboard with contrest stitching, center console in aluminium, an  upgraded 10.25-inch touchscreen, an updated infotainment system, a full color 7-inch instrument cluster,  a mood lighting system, and Nappa upholstery in Black or Red or Suede upholstery package.

The 2021 Kia Stinger has that familiar 3.3-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine, paired to an 8-speed automatic, to push 370 ps at 6,000 rpm and a 510 Nm peak torque from 1,300 to 4,500 rpm. This allows the car to propel from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.  The Stinger comes standard with all-wheel drive, while rear-wheel drive is a norm for right-hand drive markets.

Other advancements unique to the Stinger are Remote Engine Start system (smart key( and ADAS technologies (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

ADAS consists of: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA). Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), Rear Cross-Traffic, Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Safe Exit Warning (SEW), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Highway Driving Assist (HDA) and Rear Occupant Alert (ROA).
