Maserati MC20 Ushers In New Era For The Trident Brand

Maserati has unveiled the much-anticipated MC20 to the world. This newest Super Sports dubbed the MC for Maserati Corse by the Trident brand has the numerals 20 to denote the year 2020.

Heart and soul of this fine Super Sports is the new Nettuno engine with a 630hp/730Nm V6. This engine is Maserati’s very own since the Trident brand last made engines two decades ago. Best yet, this Super Sports weighs in at just under 1,500 kilograms.

In looks, the new Maserati MC20 has the Trident brand’s signature design elements, that are conceptualized at Maserati’s Dallara Wind Tunnel and through use of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations.

In a nutshell, it has sleek lines, coupled with butterfly doors and a discreet rear spoiler. The spoiler aid to improve downforce without detracting from the MC20’s beauty. The Co-efficient drag is more under 0,38. Two versions of the MC20 are available, Coupe and Roadster.

Inside, the driver is always central, and nothing must distract them from the sporting driving experience. Overall, the cabin highlights simple forms, very few sharp edges and minimal distractions. Highlights include two 10 inch screens, steering with switches (launch control and ignition), carbon fiber-clad central console, drive mode selector, two speed selection buttons, power window buttons, Multimedia system controls and a small storage under the armrest.

The Super Sports MC20 comes in these hues: Bianco Audace, Giallo Genio, Rosso Vincente, Blu Infinito, Nero Enigma and Grigio Mistero.

The new Maserati MC20 is slated for world premiere at the end of the year, which will be announced.
