Mercedes AMG GT R Roadster: If  looks could Thrill

At the front, the Roadster has low-slung front section, a forward-inclined AMG-specific radiator grille giving it a “ shark nose” impression. The whole V-shaped arrow front entails a lower stance and better airflow; all attributed to the front wing and splitter, air inlets, fins and air curtains that guide airflow to the wheel arches.  Major items at the front include LED headlights, tri-functional, arched light guide with DRLs and turn signal lights.

The GT R Roadster’s profile benefits from the standard-fit AMG Performance forged, 10-spoke wheels in matt black. Wheel specs are precise at 10.0 J x 19 ET56 front and 12.0 J x 20 ET52 rear. Other attractions are the yellow-painted brake calipers with high-gloss black inserts, and high-gloss black caps on the housings of the door mirrors.

From the rear, aluminium sidewalls make the AMG GT R Roadster 57 mm wider at the rear than the AMG GT and AMG GT S Roadster. This creates room for the larger 20-inch wheels and tyres as well as the wider track. In addition, the wider design of the rear apron with large outer vent openings and vertical swage lines improves the airflow at the rear end, as does the double diffuser. Plus, large exhaust with centerpiece, which is centrally positioned in the rear apron, flanked by two more black tail pipes on the left and right of the diffuser. Lastly, the huge rear wing in gloss black is functional and purposeful to improve the car’s aerodynamics.
